GOOD DESIGN IN RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE

What is the benefit of having good design in the places we live? How does a well designed space make our lives easier and more enjoyable? If these questions spark an interest, this class is for you! Local architects, Gary Nevius and Scott Pashia, will discuss the value of good design in residential architecture. This class will be organized around the book, Patterns of Home by Jacobson, Silverstein and Winslow and will focus on discussions about aesthetics, sustainability, human health and the economic benefits of a well designed home. Learn about your home, learn about architecture!
Each student will receive a copy of the book to keep. Bring a paper and pen to take notes.
