PAINT FLOWERS WITH OIL

Spring is coming to our studio! Come and paint flowers with our beloved teacher, Ada Koch. Students will create two small paintings, one from photos, one from a colorful still life. The last two weeks, they will each create a BIG colorful still life, maybe loaded with many colorful items (like a Janet Fish painting) or dive closely into one flower and make it bigger than life (like Georgia O'Keefe). It will be fresh, fun, and relaxing! All experience levels are welcome.All art supplies are provided by ARTichokes & this cost is included in the enrollment fee.

About the Instructor
Ada Koch does her painting, predominantly oils, in her West Bottoms studio at the Hobbs Building. She has shown her work in galleries and museums in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Florence, Italy. Ada teaches art to adults and children and is an instructor at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. She is currently on the Board for the KC Artists Coalition and was the founder of KC's Open Studios, a community-wide art event. See her work at www.adakoch.com.
