Learn to sketch with confidence by developing an "artist eye", or seeing things in their simplest form.   Patrick Chapin, a freelance illustrator who worked for Hallmark Cards, will demonstrate how to do this, then students will get to practice what they've learned.  Using shading techniques, students will do a beautiful pencil rendering of one or more of their own sketches using graphite pencil on strathmore board.  Students will also get to experiment with color using watercolor, colored pencils, or India ink.

Each student will receive a pencil set, a sketchbook, an eraser, and a Strathmore board.

All art supplies are provided by ARTichokes, and this cost is included in the enrollment fee.
