DRAW WITH ME
Ages:  6 - 12 

Wednesdays, 4:30 – 6:00 pm

CLASS DATES:  APR 30, MAY 7, MAY 14, MAY 21

Kids!  Have a very creative time learning about various drawing techniques and media in this fun class with Keith Russell.  You'll not only learn to see shapes and values, but you'll have fun rendering with colored pencils, charcoal, markers, paints, and more.  Each week, you'll begin new drawings from observation, and complete your drawings using your imagination. 

Students will be asked to draw in their sketchbooks outside of class, and to bring their sketches with them to class each week.  You can also bring in fun things to draw, and the class will draw from the various items brought in by the students.  This course will emphasize lighting and composition and fun!

All art supplies will be provided by ARTichokes & this cost is included in the enrollment fee.

About the Instructor

Keith Russell is a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, with a BFA in painting.  His paintings have been exhibited at science fiction conventions in five states, including California and Texas, and his work has been accepted into competions and juried exhibits in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Colorado.  His paintings can be found in private collections in seven states.  His work has been published in Airbrush Magazine and Airbrush Action Magazine.  Keith has taught airbrush painting techniques at Johnson County Community College, and at Michaels stores in Overland Park and Dallas.  He has taught drawing, painting, and arts-and-crafts, for kids ages 4 - 94!
