Translating that onto canvas with energetic brushwork remains the challenge that I love. Catching strong light with a contemporary touch lifts everyday scenes above the expected. My goal is to capture the exciting emotion I feel, whether intense or peaceful, and creatively express that in dramatic color! LANDSCAPES The glory of creation is awesome to me when captured in the brushwork of oils. Pushing the color in landscapes and catching strong light lifts everyday scenes above the expected. FIGURES When I paint figures, my goal is to capture the moment and share the emotion of the subject. Whether intense, dramatic or simply peaceful, it is important to me to give the viewer a window into the story. ANIMALS At the very start of my painting journey, I began by painting animals. Still, to this day, animals remain one of my favorite subjects. As they come into being on my canvas, they become family to me, and I love them all! FLORALS Flowers offer unlimited opportunities to delve into color and lay on power strokes. I enjoy creating contemporary compositions where flowers are center stage and free to dance on their own. |                   |
