Mia Rosado

Indigo's Garden line

About the Artist

Mia has been making jewelry and hair jewelry ever since she was a child. Her interests are varied which is evident in the selections of her three different lines of jewelry. The first line, Orbit Jewlz, is contemporary art consisting of rings like small sculptures with moving elements. Indigo's Garden is a floral extravaganza! The Seychelles line is a tribute to our beautiful planet using pearls, semi-precious stones and silver.

Currently she is focusing on flowers, one of her favorite aspects in nature. Once during a fashion photo shoot she glued blue daisies to a model's neck loving how this looked so she searched to find a way to make really colorful flowers on a necklace. She is very interested in how the woman wearing her jewelry looks, carefully placing the components so that the wearer's femininity is celebrated. After years of searching she found a medium which allows the vibrant color she loves to be seen. These various forms are molded and strung on silk, frequently using vintage beads her grandmother bequeathed her.

Mia finds inspiration in Japanese art and culture, Nature and the works of favorite artists Miro and Stella. She is very interested in the fine line that defines a "classic" and strives to create pieces that radiate that right alongside of her far out, colorful and very conceptual pieces. She loves when you can get more than one piece of jewelry out of your one piece to create various styles.

Mia believes that good energy is something one can work at through personal development work and strives to make her pieces feel good to the wearer. She is constantly studying the world around her, seeking to create beauty in everything she does and to give joy and happiness to the wearer.
