Pam was raised in Kansas City where she lives today.  She received a B.S. in Education from the University of Kansas.  A life long interest in art has been seriously pursued in the past eighteen years through fine arts studies at Johnson County Community College and through workshop studies with Philomene Bennett, Phil Starke, Charles Stegner as well as other painters and ceramists.  Her work is shown in the Kansas City area and can be found in corporate and private collections.

Pam’s love of color has found its way into low-fire ceramics, stone jewelry and paintings based on quick, “drive-by” views of scenery.  She paints glimpses of the scenery passed on the way to somewhere else.  The oil paintings are memories and inventions of the patterns, color, joy and abundance to be found along the road.  Pattern and color have been repeated in recent still life paintings.
