I respect the inevitable beauty of an intentional accident – the ones in my art and the ones that happen every day of our lives we so often miss and fail to appreciate. For me, each finished work contains a hundred pictures. Modern life, like my work, is a complicated patchwork of our experiences, colors and emotions commingled with everyone else’s experiences, colors and emotions. Everywhere we look there is a confluence of life…and of colors. Twisted shapes, tangles of color and emotions are spread across the surface of my work in stark opposition to societal pressures for standardization and conformity. The passion of my work is better felt intuitively by the viewer than it can be understood.

This body of work is primarily in oil, acrylic and encaustics on canvas, wood panel, cotton rag paper or gessoed 30lb. asphalt roofing felt.
