Reasons for painting:  Love of Nature, color, emotions, transformations, self-expression and the list could go on, however, it comes down to the fact that I love to paint.  It is now a way of life for me and I expect to keel over while still searching and exploring my own vision and emotions through painting. Most of my work is in pastel and oil but recently I have been exploring acrylics. The landscape including plein air holds most of my interest but still life, figurative and abstraction also may turn up in my work. My education includes a Fine Art degree from the University of Kansas and assorted workshops. I have participated in numerous juried exhibitions and have paintings in many private collections.
